A Bit About Therapy
I implement effective psychotherapy methods, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), to assist clients in reaching their full potential. ART incorporates treatment modalities from a variety of therapies to help reprogram the way you experience distressing memories. This is a directive approach that uses a series of eye movements, similar to EMDR, to assist clients in addressing symptoms associated with trauma, grief, anxiety, performance anxiety, phobias, addiction, and depression.
In addition to ART, I implement an integrative approach involving several treatment modalities tailored to meet the needs and goals of each client.
A Bit About Me
Welcome and thank you for starting your journey with me! I am originally from Alabama, and recently moved from Austin, TX to Charleston, SC. It has always been my passion to help people find solutions to challenges life often throws into our paths. As a clinical social worker, I have worked primarily with adults and adolescents with severe mental illnesses. I was certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) in 2018, which is an evidenced based treatment used to help clients find relief from symptoms associated to trauma, anxiety, phobias, depression, performance anxiety, addiction, grief, self-esteem, and job-related stress.
I strive to create a warm and safe environment to build the therapeutic connection needed to elicit transformative growth.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and their dogs - cats are cool too. I also enjoy reading, cooking, light exercise, listening to music, spending quality time with my daughter, nature, traveling and visiting family.
